The long process that I use to make all of my pieces is such a neat story of imagination and technical steps, and makes my work very meaningful to me. I love using the real life objects to make molds, because the textures of life are so fascinating to see in other materials, especially monochromatic and in a totally new context. I couldn't do this without the creation of plaster molds, which is sometimes an intimidating branch of ceramics. I'll be taking time over the next couple months to break down my process into each major step, and show demos and explanations of each. Stay tuned and search for #miseenplace for the entire series.
